Farmers Markets are in full swing around Frederick County. Saturdays are the biggest market days, with at least six markets underway. But what if you need some fresh salad greens, local berries, or lamb chops on a different day? Luckily, on any given day (except for Mondays) you can find a farmers market somewhere in Frederick County. I’ve put together a handy list of local farmers markets arranged by the day of the week.

Some farmers markets are big, some are small. Some even have food trucks and live music for your entertainment. In general, you will find vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, eggs, meats, baked goods, cheese, honey, bath and body products, breweries, wineries, distilleries, flowers and plants, jewelry, crafts and woodworking.

I started out with the intention to include the vendors for each market, but I quickly realized there was no way I could keep it current. Vendors rotate in and out, and change with the season. For the best up to date information, check the individual market websites for lists of vendors, scheduled musical entertainment and food trucks.
